USPA NEWS - The Long Lake wildfires complex is still uncontrolled, covering approximately 8468 hectares, with no additional damage reported and elevated morale among crews making steady headway around the perimeter.
Aircraft are releasing water, facilitating the securement of hose lines by ground crews and their subsequent advancement into the fire.
On-hand resources include 10 helicopters, four planes and a bird dog. Firefighting personnel at the site include 24 Department of Natural Resources (DNR), 39 Ontario, 40 Quebec, and 60 local firefighters, plus approximately 30 pieces of heavy machinery.
